Oracom Burundi is Burundi’s leading Tech Startup that focusses on providing Web Solutions that help both individuals and companies to go online and become #DigitallyFit.
The company started in 2010 from a cyber cafe in Nairobi town, then Kayole slums and has now scaled to a corporate startup with it’s head office in Westlands Business Park, 8th floor Nairobi and satellite offices in other counties.
Unlike other companies we are a group of 14 companies (brands). The brands are divided into 2 categories. The brands that focusses on making money (1-6) and brands that focusses on creating an Impact and changing lives (7-14). Each brand is run by a brand head and other teams working under it. Together we blend beautifully as a very futuristic tech startup.

Business Development Executive

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our business by generating leads, developing relationships with potential clients, and closing sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and networking.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans to expand our client base and market share.
- Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring win-win partnerships that deliver value for both Oracom Burundi and our clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and product development to drive successful client onboarding and project execution.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities to identify new market opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Development or a related field.
- A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A deep understanding of the technology sector (a plus).
- Self-motivated, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
